The plugin adds three meters: hunger, thirst, and fatigue. They drain as the player walks around. Let them get too low and the party starts taking stat penalties. Let them hit zero and movement slows to a crawl. Feed your characters, keep them hydrated, let them sleep.
What it does:
- Three independent meters that drain per step with configurable rates. Thirst drains faster than hunger, fatigue drains slowest. Tweak the numbers to match your game's pacing.
- Items restore meters with simple notetags. Slap
<hunger: 40>on a burger and it restores 40 hunger when used. Multiple notetags on one item work too, so a soup can restore both hunger and thirst. Negative values let you make items that drain meters, like alcohol draining thirst. - Five threshold tiers from Satisfied down to Critical. Moderate and below apply stat penalties. ATK, DEF, AGI, and Max HP all take hits with configurable percentages. The player feels themselves getting weaker as they neglect their needs.
- Movement speed drops at critical level so the player really feels the urgency.
- HUD overlay on the map with gradient bars, animated shine sweep, and a scale parameter that sizes everything at once. Press H to toggle it on and off.
- Menu scene showing full survival status with large bars, status labels like Peckish or Dehydrated, and an active penalties breakdown so the player knows exactly what their neglect is costing them.
- Sleep plugin command for beds and inns. Configurable how much fatigue it restores and whether it gives any hunger or thirst recovery too.
- Plugin commands for Set Meter, Restore All, and Drain Meter for event scripting. Desert maps can drain thirst faster, poison gas can drain all three at once.
- Enable switch so survival mechanics only kick in when you want them to. The menu option greys out when the switch is off.
- Background image support on the menu scene and every color is customizable through parameters.
The gradient bar colors are configurable per meter with start and end hex codes. Hunger defaults to orange-to-gold, thirst is blue-to-cyan, fatigue is purple-to-lavender. All outlined text so everything reads clean on any background.
